There are many exciting benefits for affiliates partnering with the HP program, including a 30-day cookie period and an expansive product feed. Other advantages available for affiliates on the HP program include deep linking, an above average conversion rate, frequent affiliate incentives and product level commissions.

Search Engine Marketing
It is forbidden to use search engines to actively bid on HP branded and product related keywords/search terms. This applies to all search engines, including, but not limited to Google, Bing & Yahoo. Publishers may not be entitled to full commission payments if they have been identified as breaching this condition.
HP is open to exploring co-op search engine strategies for Unbranded/Generic related keywords/search terms for certain product categories. Please reach out to Tradedoubler for more details.

Brand Guidelines
HP Brand Name
• Our company brand name is HP, regardless of the typeface in which it appears.
• Whenever the company brand name is used in editorial text, it must always be written in uppercase and appear in the same typeface as the rest of the text.
• ‘hp’ in lowercase is acceptable for URL structures.
• Using ‘Hewlett Packard’ is not permitted.

Offers/Promotions
• Strict adherence to the offer copy is a must, absolutely no deviation including price guarantees that could be misleading or incorrect.
• No additional codes to be added that are not explicitly given
• No additional offers/promotion to be added that are not explicitly given
• Special offers/promotions must adhere to the strict guidelines given, for example timings such as when an offer can go live and/or must be removed.

Strike 1: If an affiliate is found promoting an offer/voucher/T&C that has not been shared by HP or Tradedoubler for the first time, or a shared offer/voucher/T&C has been reworded, they will be contacted to correct it and given a warning. Days to rectify: 2 days
Strike 2: If this affiliate is once again found promoting an invalid offer/voucher/T&C, a second warning will be issued as well as a request for same-day correction of the offer. Days to rectify: 1
Strike 3: If an invalid offer/voucher/T&C is then found for the third time the affiliate commissions will be halted until the offer is removed. Days to rectify: 0
Strike 4: If an affiliate is found not making the amends on any invalid offer/voucher/T&C, the affiliate will be paused on the program. An account manager will inform the affiliate regarding the suspension via email. Days to rectify: 0
Strike 5: If an affiliate is re-activated and then breaches the brand guidelines again, HP reserves the right to consider complete removal from the HP Store affiliate program. The removal will be informed immediately by an account manager to the affiliate via email. Days to rectify: 0
*The strike system does not reset, with any successive break of the rules, the publisher will immediately move to the next strike tier.

*HP and Tradedoubler will reset the strike system annually, starting in January each year.

Please note that once the number of days to rectify has passed, you will be placed on hold on the program and commissions will be rejected until the changes have been made and verified.

We note that in the case of existing offers expiring, we will only be enforcing the system if the end date has been clearly stated in comms and on the Tradedoubler Voucher API. Please note this also includes “exclusive” voucher codes which are found on other publisher sides, but have not been communicated directly to the affiliate in question.

We appreciate that mistakes can happen but want to work closely with affiliates to ensure that the offers are correct and the user journey for customers is therefore at the standards required by HP. If you have any hesitations please refer to the brand guidelines or reach out to Rui who will be happy to help.

HP Logo
• Our logo stands on its own — as an identifier. The logo must be readable. Its letters prominent and clear. The space behind the logo must have good contrast and be free from busy-ness. Colours should be complementary.
• The HP logo should not be placed into container shapes, altered, or embellished in any way. It should only be used in the appropriate master logo colours and never combined with other graphics.

Network Quality/Program Description Guidelines
• A breach may result in commissions being cancelled and your site being paused on the program until resolved.
• Breaches include but are not limited to referral issues, content (including offers/promotions) violations, code violations, affiliate association (keywords), ad-hijacking, search-engine marketing.

Transaction Inquiries
• Please ensure the agreed terms & conditions for cashback claims have been reviewed before raising a claim
• Orders already attributed to another publisher or with an invalid order number (these must start with “SCEO”) will be rejected.
• Please note this excludes "HP Instant Ink" and "HP Smart Friend" transactions
• Product names for all products in the sale should be included when making a claim, or the claim will be rejected
• Information on why a claim has been made is also required (please insert this in the “proof of claim” column).
