Warmbox Affiliate Programme – PPC Policy & Terms

1. Brand Guidelines

- Affiliates may only use creative assets (banners, logos, text links) supplied by Warmbox and must not alter them. Misuse or alteration of Warmbox’s branding will lead to removal from the programme.

- Affiliates may not register domain names or social‑media handles containing “Warmbox,” misspellings, or any Warmbox trademarks. Restricting such domains and handles prevents brand confusion.

2. Commission & Cookies

- Commission structure: Warmbox pays £100 for sales for new customer transactions (excluding VAT, delivery and returns).

- Cookie window: 30 days.

- Commissions will not be paid when an affiliate uses codes intended for other partners (e.g., exclusive coupon codes or email sign‑up codes); such sales will be declined.

- Sales and tenancy payments may take up to 30 days to process; payments are invoiced after validations are complete to allow for cancellations (approximately 4 weeks).

3. PPC Policy (Paid Search & Shopping Ads)

Paid search can be a valuable channel, but it also risks cannibalising Warmbox’s own marketing efforts. Affiliates must abide by these rules to remain eligible for commissions:

3.1. Trademark and Keyword Restrictions

- Affiliates may not bid on Warmbox’s brand names, trademarks, domain names, misspellings or variations (e.g., “Warmbox,” “warmbox.com,” “warmbox coupon”) on any search platform. Restricting brand bidding protects the company from paying commissions for traffic it would have earned organically.

- Affiliates must also negative‑match Warmbox’s proprietary terms where possible to ensure that branded keywords are excluded from their campaigns. This approach is required by many platforms (e.g., Amazon) that require affiliates to exclude proprietary terms using negative keywords.

- Affiliates may not use Warmbox trademarks in combination with other keywords (e.g., “Warmbox coupons”). Many brands prohibit “trademark plus” bidding because searchers who add “coupon” or “promo code” are often already partway through checkout.

3.2. Ad Copy and Display URL

- Affiliates may not use Warmbox’s trademarks or URLs in ad headlines, ad text or display URLs. Doing so misleads users into thinking an affiliate’s ad is an official Warmbox advertisement.

- Ad copy must not include misleading statements or “official” language (such as “lowest prices,” “largest selection” or “free shipping”). Affiliates should avoid unapproved superlatives, false promotions or claims.

- Ad content must comply with search engine editorial policies and all applicable advertising laws. For example, landing pages must align with the display URL and may not immediately redirect to Warmbox’s site.

3.3. Direct Linking and Landing Pages

- Direct‑to‑merchant linking is prohibited. Affiliates may not direct paid‑search ads straight to Warmbox’s website; links must first land on the affiliate’s site (or a Warmbox‑approved landing page) and then link to Warmbox using the provided tracking link.

- Landing pages should add value and not simply mimic Warmbox’s site. Affiliates must not copy Warmbox’s official landing pages or misrepresent the brand. Provide clear disclosures and ensure regulatory compliance for content (e.g., promotional claims, reviews).

3.4. Bid Position and Competition

- Affiliates may not bid in a way that outranks Warmbox’s own paid ads on branded or restricted keywords. For example, they may not appear in positions 1–5 on any auction‑style PPC programme when Warmbox is also bidding. Some brands allow affiliates to bid on generic keywords but require them not to compete on rank.

- Warmbox reserves the right to enforce rank restrictions on any keywords it allows affiliates to bid on.

3.5. Negative Keywords

- Affiliates must implement Warmbox’s negative keyword list to avoid accidental bidding on restricted terms. This list will include Warmbox’s trademarks, domain names, and misspellings, along with competitor brand names if Warmbox deems them off limits.

- Affiliates are encouraged to share additional negative keywords they find to improve compliance.

3.6. Domain and Cloaking Restrictions

- Affiliates must not register domains or subdomains containing Warmbox’s trademarks.

- Unauthorised link cloaking or tactics intended to mask referral sources or evade detection are prohibited. Affiliates must provide transparent referrer information.

3.7. Compliance & Enforcement

- Affiliates must follow all search engine rules and legal requirements (including advertising regulations, data protection laws, and disclosure guidelines). Email or SMS marketing must comply with anti‑spam laws and may require Warmbox’s written approval.

- Warmbox or its monitoring partners (e.g., BrandVerity) will regularly audit affiliates’ paid search activity. Violations will result in actions ranging from warnings to commission reversals, reduced commission rates or removal from the programme.

- If Warmbox instructs an affiliate to correct a violation, the affiliate must do so promptly. Repeated or egregious violations may lead to withheld commissions for at least 30 days and termination of the affiliate agreement.

4. Voucher Codes & Coupons

- Affiliates may only promote voucher codes listed in Warmbox’s official feed (e.g., through the affiliate network API). Use of unauthorised or expired codes will result in declined commissions.

- Coupon or cashback sites must not mislead visitors by falsely promising offers. For instance, requiring a user to click to “reveal” a non‑existent Warmbox promotion is prohibited.

5. Google Shopping & PLA Ads

- Warmbox typically manages its own Product Listing Ads (PLAs). Affiliates may not run Google Shopping or other paid product‑listing campaigns unless explicitly authorised in writing.

6. Social Media & Influencer Activity

- Affiliates may share their Warmbox affiliate links on their own social‑media pages; however, they must not post links on Warmbox’s official social‑media channels or create pages that appear to be official Warmbox pages.

- Paid social ads using Warmbox’s trademarks are prohibited unless Warmbox grants prior written approval. Affiliates may not run Facebook or Instagram ads containing Warmbox’s brand names or direct to Warmbox’s site.

- Influencer posts must be pre‑approved by Warmbox and include necessary disclosures that a commission may be earned.

7. Tracking & Transparency

- Affiliates must use the tracking links provided by Warmbox’s affiliate network (e.g., TradeDoubler). Do not tamper with tracking parameters.

- Cloaking, cookie stuffing, link interception or fraudulent orders are forbidden. Affiliates must maintain accurate records and provide referral data when requested.

8. Right to Modify

Warmbox reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time. Affiliates will be notified of substantive changes and must review the terms regularly.
