Getaways Ireland Affiliate Programme – Terms & Conditions

These Affiliate Programme Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Getaways Ireland Affiliate Programme. By applying for or participating in the programme, you agree to comply with these Terms.

The programme promotes hotel and short-break offers available through www.getawaysireland.ie.

Getaways Ireland reserves the right to update these Terms at any time.

1. Programme Overview

The Getaways Ireland Affiliate Programme allows approved partners (“Affiliates”) to promote hotel and short-break offers available on the Getaways Ireland website in return for commission on eligible bookings generated through tracked affiliate links.

Participation in the programme is subject to approval by Getaways Ireland and/or its affiliate network partner.

Getaways Ireland reserves the right to approve or reject any affiliate application at its sole discretion.

2. Affiliate Approval

All affiliate applications are reviewed before approval. Getaways Ireland may decline or remove affiliates that:

  • Do not align with brand values
  • Promote misleading content
  • Operate websites containing illegal, offensive or inappropriate content
  • Do not comply with these Terms

Affiliates must provide accurate information during the application process and keep their account information up to date.
 

3. Brand Guidelines

Affiliates must promote Getaways Ireland in a way that accurately reflects the brand and its offers.

Affiliates must:

  • Use approved creative assets provided via the affiliate platform or authorised by Getaways Ireland
  • Not modify creative in a misleading way
  • Not misrepresent pricing, availability, or offers
  • Clearly identify themselves as a third-party affiliate where required

Affiliates must not present themselves as Getaways Ireland or imply a direct partnership beyond participation in the affiliate programme.
 

4. Trademark and Brand Protection

Affiliates must not:

  • Register domain names containing “Getaways Ireland”, “GetawaysIreland”, or similar variations
  • Create social media profiles impersonating the brand
  • Represent themselves as the official website or official brand partner

Use of Getaways Ireland trademarks must be limited to approved promotional activity within the affiliate programme.

5. Paid Search (PPC) Policy

Affiliates may not bid on the following keywords in paid search advertising:

  • Getaways Ireland
  • GetawaysIreland
  • getawaysireland.ie
  • Getaway breaks Ireland
  • Any misspellings or variations of the brand name

Affiliates may not:

  • Direct link to the Getaways Ireland website from paid search ads without written permission
  • Use display URLs that contain the Getaways Ireland brand name
  • Run paid search ads that appear to represent the official brand.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate removal from the programme and cancellation of commission.

6. Traffic Sources

Affiliates must generate traffic through legitimate and transparent marketing methods.

The following traffic sources are prohibited unless explicitly approved in writing:

  • Adware or spyware
  • Cookie stuffing
  • Forced clicks or automatic redirects
  • Browser extensions or toolbars that inject affiliate tracking
  • Pop-ups that override other affiliate tracking
  • Automated or fraudulent traffic

Getaways Ireland reserves the right to investigate suspicious traffic sources.

 

7. Voucher Codes

Affiliates may only promote voucher codes that have been:

  • Supplied through the affiliate network tools
  • Published on the official Getaways Ireland website
  • Approved in writing by Getaways Ireland

Affiliates must not:

  • Promote scraped or unauthorised voucher codes
  • Misrepresent voucher availability
  • Promote expired or invalid codes intentionally

Use of unauthorised codes may result in commission being declined.

 

 

 

 

 

8. Cashback and Incentives

Voucher codes must not be promoted in conjunction with cashback or other incentives unless explicitly approved in writing by Getaways Ireland. Affiliates operating cashback or loyalty sites must clearly disclose cashback mechanics to users.

9. Commission and Validation

Commission is paid on approved and validated bookings only.

Commission is calculated based on:

  • The transaction value excluding VAT
  • Excluding cancellations
  • Excluding refunded bookings
  • Excluding no-shows

 

Transactions will be validated according to Getaways Ireland’s validation timeline.

Getaways Ireland reserves the right to decline commission for transactions that are:

  • Cancelled or refunded
  • Fraudulent
  • Generated in breach of these Terms.

 

10. Attribution and Tracking

Affiliate commission is attributed using a last-click attribution model unless otherwise specified. Tracking is carried out through the affiliate network platform.

If tracking fails due to technical reasons beyond Getaways Ireland’s control, commission may not be payable. Cookie duration will be determined by the affiliate programme configuration.

 

11. Email and Marketing Compliance

Affiliates conducting email marketing must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including GDPR and electronic marketing legislation.

Affiliates must:

  • Only email recipients who have opted in to receive marketing
  • Clearly identify themselves as the sender
  • Not imply emails originate from Getaways Ireland.

 

12. Content and Compliance

Affiliate content must:

  • Be accurate and not misleading
  • Clearly disclose affiliate relationships where legally required
  • Comply with advertising regulations and consumer protection laws

Getaways Ireland may request removal or amendment of content that breaches these standards.

 

13. Self-Referrals

Commission will not be paid on:

  • Bookings made by the affiliate themselves
  • Bookings made by employees of the affiliate
  • Internal or test transactions
  • Fraudulent or manipulated bookings.

 

14. Programme Termination

Getaways Ireland reserves the right to suspend or terminate an affiliate account at any time where:

  • These Terms are breached
  • Fraudulent activity is suspected
  • Brand guidelines are not followed
  • Traffic quality is deemed unacceptable.

In cases of serious breach, any outstanding commission may be declined.

 

15. Liability

Getaways Ireland will not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Loss of revenue or profit related to participation in the affiliate programme
  • Technical tracking errors caused by third-party systems.

Participation in the programme is at the affiliate’s own risk.

 

16. Updates to Terms

Getaways Ireland reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time.

Affiliates will be deemed to have accepted updated Terms by continuing participation in the programme.

 

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Ireland.

Any disputes arising from participation in the programme will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
