These Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation in the Credit Acceptance Affiliate Program (“Program”), administered through TradeDoubler (“TradeDoubler”). By applying for and/or participating in the Program, you (“Affiliate,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms, the TradeDoubler Marketplace Policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.

1. Enrollment and Approval You must apply for the Program through the TradeDoubler platform. Approval is based on factors including, but not limited to, content quality, audience relevance, and compliance with Credit Acceptance brand standards. Approval may be revoked at any time at Credit Acceptance’s sole discretion. Participation in the Program is not guaranteed. Credit Acceptance reserves the right to deny or remove Affiliates for any reason, including but not limited to: Non-compliance with these Terms Low-quality or fraudulent traffic Misleading promotional practices

2. Affiliate Responsibilities 2.1 Compliance You must comply with: ● All applicable laws and regulations (including FTC endorsement guidelines, CAN-SPAM, and data privacy laws), and ● All TradeDoubler network policies. Clear, prominent disclosure of your affiliate relationship is required (e.g., “I may earn a commission if you sign up through my link.”).

2.2 Prohibited Conduct You may not:

  • Engage in cookie stuffing, click manipulation, click injection, or the use of unauthorized adware.
  • Bid on, register, or utilize in paid search or domain names: “Credit Acceptance,” “Credit Acceptance,” or any related variations or misspellings.
  • Utilize unapproved coupon sites, cashback, rebate, reward, or incentivized traffic programs.
  • Make unverified or misleading legal, financial, or settlement-related claims about Credit Acceptance.
  • Promote Credit Acceptance on websites or media containing hateful, defamatory, adult, or deceptive content.

2.3 AI-Generated & Synthetic Traffic You may not generate or simulate traffic, clicks, leads, or conversions through:

  • Bots, automated scripts, artificial personas, traffic exchanges, or synthetic user activity 
  • AI agents designed to mimic user behavior

AI tools may be used for content creation only if the content is original, materially accurate, created for human readers, and not used to manipulate performance metrics. Any artificial or non-genuine activity will result in immediate termination and forfeiture of associated commissions.

3. Commission Structure All tracking, attribution, and reporting are managed exclusively through TradeDoubler. Standard attribution follows the last-click model within the cookie window visible in your TradeDoubler dashboard. Commissions are earned only on Qualified Actions, as defined in the Program terms within TradeDoubler.

Credit Acceptance may reverse commissions resulting from:

  • Canceled or invalid sign-ups
  • Fraudulent, low-quality, or non-compliant activity

3.5 Payments are issued by TradeDoubler according to its payout schedule once the applicable minimum threshold is met.

4. Creative Assets and Brand Usage All Credit Acceptance trademarks, logos, creative materials, and promotional assets are the sole property of Credit Acceptance. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use approved materials solely for participation in the Program. You may not alter, modify, or create derivative versions of any Credit Acceptance assets without prior written authorization. Use of Credit Acceptance’s name or brand assets in domain names, social handles, paid ads, or impersonation formats is strictly prohibited.

5. Relationship of Parties Your participation in the Program does not create a partnership, joint venture, employment, franchise, or agency relationship. You are an independent contractor and have no authority to bind Credit Acceptance in any manner.

6. Confidentiality Definition of Confidential Information "Confidential Information" means any and all non-public information disclosed by Credit Acceptance to Affiliate, whether disclosed orally, in writing, electronically, or by any other means, in connection with the Program, including but not limited to:

Commission rates, payment structures, and performance data; Conversion rates, tracking data, and attribution metrics; Marketing strategies, campaign materials, and creative assets prior to public release; Business plans, customer data, product roadmaps, and technical systems; Internal communications, policies, and Program-related materials; and Any information designated as "confidential" or that a reasonable person would understand to be confidential given the nature of the information and circumstances of disclosure.

Confidential Information does not include information that: (a) is or becomes publicly available through no fault of the Affiliate; (b) was rightfully known to the Affiliate prior to disclosure without restriction; (c) is independently developed by the Affiliate without reference to the Confidential Information; or (d) is required to be disclosed by law, regulation, or court order, provided the Affiliate gives Credit Acceptance prompt written notice and cooperates with Credit Acceptance's efforts to seek a protective order.

Non-Disclosure Obligations

Affiliate agrees to: Hold all Confidential Information in strict confidence using at least the same degree of care used to protect its own confidential information, but no less than reasonable care; Not disclose, publish, or disseminate any Confidential Information to any third party without Credit Acceptance's prior written consent; Use Confidential Information solely for the purpose of participating in the Program and for no other purpose whatsoever; and Limit access to Confidential Information to those of Affiliate's employees, contractors, or agents who have a legitimate need to know such information and who are bound by confidentiality obligations no less restrictive than those set forth herein.

Non-Use

Affiliate shall not use any Confidential Information for its own benefit or for the benefit of any third party, including for competitive intelligence, benchmarking, or any purpose outside the scope of the Program.

Return or Destruction of Information

Upon termination of Affiliate's participation in the Program, or upon Credit Acceptance's written request, Affiliate shall promptly: (a) return all tangible materials containing Confidential Information; or (b) certify in writing the destruction of all Confidential Information in Affiliate's possession or control, including all copies, notes, and summaries thereof. Injunctive Relief Affiliate acknowledges that any breach of this Section 6 would cause irreparable harm to Credit Acceptance for which monetary damages would be an inadequate remedy. Accordingly, Credit Acceptance shall be entitled to seek equitable relief, including injunctive relief and specific performance, in addition to all other remedies available at law or in equity, without the requirement of posting bond or other security.

Duration of Confidentiality Obligations

Affiliate's confidentiality obligations under this Section 6 shall survive the termination or expiration of Affiliate's participation in the Program and shall remain in effect for a period of three (3) years following the date of termination, except with respect to trade secrets, for which obligations shall continue for so long as such information constitutes a trade secret under applicable law.

7. Term and Termination Either party may terminate participation in the Program at any time through the TradeDoubler platform. Credit Acceptance may terminate immediately for any violation of these Terms. Upon termination: All licenses granted to Affiliate automatically expire; Affiliates must immediately cease using Credit Acceptance assets and tracking links; and Affiliate's confidentiality and non-disclosure obligations under Section 6 shall survive and remain in full force and effect in accordance with Section 6.

8. Modifications Credit Acceptance may modify these Terms or the Program at any time. Notice will be provided through TradeDoubler or email. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. 9. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification Credit Acceptance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages, including loss of revenue or business opportunities. Credit Acceptance’s total liability shall not exceed the total commissions paid to Affiliate in the six (6) months preceding any claim. Affiliate agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Credit Acceptance, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from Affiliate’s participation or breach of these Terms.

10. Governing Law These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota.
