Based on the classic poem "A Visit from St. Nicholas" by Clement Clarke Moore, 'Twas the Night Before... is Cirque du Soleil's first festive theatrical production, first staged in Chicago in 2019. The show now arrives in Europe for the very first time, playing the World Forum Theater in The Hague from December 10, 2026 through January 3, 2027, with performances on weekends and daily throughout the school holidays.

Conceived and directed by Cirque du Soleil Senior Artistic Director James Hadley, with creative direction by Manuel Bissonnette, acrobatic choreography and performance design by Edesia Moreno, and an original score by Jean-Phi Goncalves, 'Twas the Night Before... brings together an international cast of 26 artists for 85 minutes of aerial straps, hoop diving, hair suspension and high-energy choreography, set to a soundtrack of beloved Christmas classics.

The story follows Isabella, a teenager who feels she's outgrown her family's Christmas traditions. When the poem her family reads aloud each year suddenly comes to life, she's swept into a winter wonderland journey full of unexpected twists, meeting extraordinary characters, acrobats and reindeer along the way. Inspired by the joy of giving and the wonder of the holidays, the production invites a new generation of theater lovers into the magic of Cirque du Soleil.
