Terms & Conditions

By applying to and joining the novaofcalifornia.com affiliate program — or by accessing an affiliate link from a third party or other partner within the program — you agree to the following rules, regulations, and terms and conditions.

1 PPC (Pay-Per-Click) Policy — Restricted

PPC bidding on trademark terms is NOT permitted. Affiliates may NOT bid on or use any of NOVA's trademarks, brand names, domain names, misspellings, extensions, or variations as keywords on any PPC network, content network, or media buy — including (but not limited to):

"Nova of California"

"Nova lighting"

"Nova lamps"

"novaofcalifornia"

"novaofcalifornia.com"

Any misspelling or close variation of the above

These terms must be added to your negative keywords list.

Affiliates may not use direct linking to novaofcalifornia.com from PPC ads, and may not bid on URLs containing the NOVA brand. If we detect PPC activity violating this policy, we may set affected commissions to zero pending investigation and may remove the affiliate from the program.

2 Use of Trademarks

Use of NOVA's trademarks, logos, brand names, URLs, misspellings, extensions, or variations is not permitted for the purpose of optimizing for them or impersonating the brand. Affiliates may use approved brand assets provided through the program for legitimate promotional purposes only.

We may request screenshots if we see ads or content using our trademarks, and affiliates agree to provide them within 2 business days. During this period, commissions may be set to zero and reversed pending verification. If we verify the sales were not driven using our trademarks, commissions will be restored.

3 Social Media

Affiliates may not use the NOVA of California name or any variation of our brands as hashtags or account names pretending to represent, be endorsed by, or be sponsored by NOVA. Affiliates may not create accounts using our name or impersonate the brand in any way. Affiliates also agree not to tag, call out, or link to our official social profiles without prior written agreement from the affiliate manager.

4 Coupon & Loyalty Sites

If you operate a deals, coupon, or loyalty site, the following applies. If we find violations and you do not have written approval from the affiliate manager, we may reverse all current and previous commissions, and you may be removed from the program without warning.

The following are not permitted:

Expired codes — all codes posted must be current, active, and approved by the affiliate manager.

Non-affiliate codes — you may not use any code, discount, or deal that is not provided through the Tradedoubler affiliate network.

Non-existent codes or deals — you may not advertise that a deal exists if NOVA is not offering one through the affiliate program.

Posting codes to properties you do not own — codes, coupons, and deals may only be posted on web properties you own and control.

Exclusive codes — codes designated as exclusive to other affiliates or influencers may not be used; any sales using such codes will be reversed.

5 Toolbars, Downloadable Software, and Adware

Adware of any kind is NOT permitted in the program without prior written approval. "Adware" here includes anything that interrupts the shopping process, disrupts user experience, or is used to display ads — including but not limited to: PPV, coupon-ware, reminder-ware, loyalty-ware, contextual ads, interruptive ads, shopping windows, browser helper objects, browser extensions, and CPV advertising.

6 De-duplication Policy

Tradedoubler conversions will be subject to NOVA's standard de-duplication logic:

The last paid click before purchase receives credit for the conversion (last-click attribution within the cookie window).

Tradedoubler tracking is de-duplicated against other paid marketing channels (Google Ads, Meta Ads, Direct, etc.). If a Tradedoubler-attributed click is overridden by a direct paid channel touch within the conversion path, the affiliate sale will be reversed.

Duplicate orders (same transactionId) will be merged and only one conversion retained.

Orders cancelled, returned, or refunded by the customer will be reversed.

7 Validation Policy

Validation window: Sales will be reviewed and validated within 30 days of the order date.

Approved sales — orders that are fully paid, fulfilled, and have passed the standard return/refund window will be approved.

Rejected sales — orders will be rejected (and commissions reversed) if:

The order is cancelled or returned in full

The order is identified as fraudulent

The order violates these affiliate terms (e.g. driven via trademark PPC, expired/exclusive coupons, prohibited adware)

The customer requested a refund within the standard policy

Partial returns — commission will be paid only on the retained value of the order, after deducting the refunded portion (excl. VAT, shipping, and voucher discounts).

8 Compliance & Disclosure

Affiliates must comply with all applicable advertising and consumer-protection regulations in every territory where their audience is located — including, but not limited to, the United States (FTC Endorsement Guides), the European Union (GDPR, EU consumer protection law), and the United Kingdom (ASA / CAP Code). Affiliate relationships must be clearly and conspicuously disclosed in any post, video, story, or piece of content that includes an affiliate link.

Failure to comply will result in immediate removal from the program and reversal of all commissions.

9 Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated at any time at the sole discretion of NOVA of California and the affiliate manager. It is the affiliate's responsibility to review the terms periodically. Continued participation in the program constitutes acceptance of any updates.

This agreement overrides any past, present, and future agreements.

PPC: Restricted — no trademark bidding on any NOVA brand terms or close variations.
